My initial impression of this product was that it looked very well made, it was also nice and bright and attractive to look at. The packaging was good because all of the parts were well protected and the initial box that it arrived in wasn’t too big so that it would easily fit into a small boot. It took about 35 minutes altogether from opening the box till attaching every part together. The instructions are very easy to follow; every step was illustrated with a diagram which made it easy. I had no concerns at all letting my 10-11 month old on this as it has different attachments for the appropriate ages, the baby seat was very secure had straps round the side of the baby as well as down the front. I was also impressed with the feature on the pedal in which you could lock them so that when in parent pushing mode there was no risk of getting the Childs feet caught in moving pedals, It caters for all appropriate suitable ages and could easily take the baby seat off to allow a 3 year old to use in normal trike mode. The adjustable sunshade is also excellent especially for a baby who would be more vulnerable to the sun. Also the seat is very well padded so comfortable for a baby. Jasmine was very excited when she first saw it assembled and loved sitting in it, she loved playing with the toy phone that is attached and she was pretending to talk on the phone so definitely stimulated her imagination! She rocks excitedly when sat in the trike as if she is trying to get it to move. Jasmine loves to be outdoors in this, as she can see everything and loves to wave at passer bys, also her brother likes to push her around in it. So I would say it helps her development as is encouraging sharing and encouraging social skills. It kept her attention, we went on some quite long walks and she remained happy in the trike all the way, she enjoyed playing with the toy, which is suitably attached to avoid any losses which is excellent would have been dropped several times otherwise. I think its excellent quality and seem very well made, all the parts are strong. I also like the fact that you can steer the front wheels with the parent handle, not many trikes offer this feature. It is a little more expensive than some other trikes that are on sale but this has a lot more features in my opinion so definitely worth spending that little bit more as this will last from baby to toddler. Also love the bag that attaches to the back seat and the cup holder at the front! It has thought of everything and can’t think of anything they could add to improve it! I would certainly consider buying myself, I'd seen these in a retailer before and liked the look of them but never realised how many features it has compared to other trikes on the market. I have already recommended to a friend who had mentioned she was thinking of getting it for her sons 1st birthday, I said he would love it. Overall we love the smart trike, is lovely to use even doing the school run or nipping to the shops as is so easy to push and she loves to be sat in it. A fantastic product, versatile and fun! The packaging was rather unnecessary; there was individual plastic for each of the components provoking a suffocation hazard for small children. Overall, it was well packed in a box that was easy to handle. It took 45 minutes to assemble the tricycle. I think the instructions could have been clearer, especially the diagrams. I think a larger print would have been useful. I have No concerns about my child playing with the tricycle if supervised. The three recommended age groups seem appropriate. The trike is very good for stimulating my child but it needs the parents input to make it a stimulating and fun experience for the child. The trike helps with my child’s hand and eye coordination and especially balance. Unfortunately he has found it very useful as a climbing frame. Also loved the little phone attached. Some of the parts do not seem very durable (time will tell). Especially the wheels could be of better quality. If the wheels where a little sturdier (perhaps more like the wheels on a buggy) could make much more use and even replace our buggy. I really like this product and its versatility, especially as it will last for quite a few years and is very easy to transform to the next developmental stage. Everything was wrapped inside the box and small bits were wrapped safely to keep away from little hands. The main box was wrapped inside another box to make sure the trike was not damaged. It took about half an hour to assemble. The instructions were generally very easy to follow except for when it came to putting the straps on. I have no concerns with George using this and think it is great for the specific age group of each phase of the trike. We have used the first and second phase so far. It certainly keeps George's attention and he loves being pushed in it. I would say it's hard to say it stimulates his imagination at this point as he's only just learning to play but I think it is great for co-ordination and the concept of space and also for fitness. I think role play would be down to the individual parent and George is a bit young at the moment. It certainly keeps his attention. He hates to get off it and cries, so much so that I had to push him around the living room for half an hour when I first built it. I think it is very sturdy as long as it is assembled correctly and all the bolts are tightened. It has certainly stood up to use both inside and out. The plastic and metal structures seem to be very durable and easy to clean. My personal feeling is that it is a bit too expensive and some other trikes would do a very similar job. However I do think that this one will last well. Now that I have tested it I would definitely consider buying it but I would probably look to buy it when there was a promotion on. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to friends and family as I think it is so versatile and George loves it. Even though I think the price is a bit too much and I had a few issues with assembly I still think this is a great product. The Smart Trike has been great to use and our son has had a lot of fun with it. It easily transforms to the next age and is really easy to steer.
